Vale Healthcare’s Sports Medicine clinic offers a comprehensive and integrated service to athletes of all kinds from Cardiff across South Wales, ranging from elite sports professional through to recreational athletes of all ages.

Working closely with our Physiotherapists and Consultant Orthopaedic surgeons, our Sports Medicine physicians see patients from consultation, through to assessment and treatment of a vast range of sports injuries.

Sports Medicine Consultants:

Primarily based at the Cardiff Bay Clinic, the Sports Medicine service is open to all patients and sports, including those with medical insurance and those who self-pay. The Cardiff Bay Clinic has 7 consulting rooms and an on-site MRI scanner, which is ideal for rapid access appointments and diagnosis of even the most complex of sporting injuries.

Our sports medicine specialists currently provide medical and surgical services to the Welsh Rugby Union, Sports Council of Wales, Cardiff Blues, Ospreys and Dragons regional rugby teams and Cardiff City Football Club.

Vale Healthcare is also proud to be the official medical services provider to the Ospreys rugby team, and provide medical services for the 2010 Ryder Cup being held in the Celtic Manor, Newport, South Wales.
