Ophthalmology
Vale Healthcare’s Ophthalmology service provides specialist consultation, assessment and treatment of patients with ophthalmic conditions affecting the eye, from our modern and well equipped Cardiff Bay Clinic.
Led by several experienced Ophthalmologists including Mr Rob Walters, the Ophthalmology service at Vale Healthcare treats patients with a full range of eye conditions including:
- Corneal disease of the eye
- Glaucoma
- Cataracts
- Vitreous and retinal problems (such as diabetic retinopathy)
- Age related macular degeneration
- Eye position and movement disorders (squints)
- Oculoplastic disorders (drooping eyelids, lid cysts, out turning and in turning eyelid)
- Lacrimal / tear duct disorders
Primarily based at the Cardiff Bay Clinic, the Ophthalmology service is open to all patients, including those with medical insurance and those who self-pay.
